Submissions

Run Like A Girl is always open to submissions and collaboration - community is everything! If you have an article, opinion piece, photography, personal essay, art, poetry, review or anything else you'd like to submit, you can send it to our email: webgemzine@gmail.com.

Collaboration requests and other inquiries can also be sent to our email, or you can DM us on Instagram.

Submission Guidelines

We are accepting submissions from anyone who is or has been a fem person.

• RLAG submissions should focus on hardcore and emo, the feminine experience, and/or the intersection of the two.
• All works have to be originally yours, but they don't have to be created specifically for RLAG. Your work that has been published elsewhere is fine to submit.
• Long-form submissions should be 200-1500 words.
• Please note that a submission does not guarantee publication.
• Submit to Run Like A Girl via our email at webgemzine@gmail.com.
• Your email should have a subject line like "RLAG Submission" and include:
  • Your name
  • Title of your work
  • Your submission
  • Contact info (Instagram, website, etc.)

Featured Photo Submissions

Run Like A Girl aims to highlight all fems in hardcore, not just onstage. Every Friday, we'll feature a photo from a fem photographer on our Instagram and the home page of our website. Submit your photo for a chance to be featured.

• Submit to Run Like A Girl via our email at webgemzine@gmail.com.
• Your email should have the subject line "Featured Photo Submission" and include:
  • Your name
  • Title of your work
  • Your submission
  • A mini bio about you
  • Some comment on the photo: what it means to you, what it was like taking it, or anything you deem important to go along with it!
  • Contact info, or where people can find you/your work (Instagram, website, etc.)
